The Availability of Quality Standards in Governmental Public Education Schools in the City of Mukalla in Light of the Standards of the School Development Program in the Republic of Yemen

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the extent to which quality standards are available in public general education schools in the city of Mukalla according to the standards of the School Development Program in the Republic of Yemen. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical method, and the study instrument was a questionnaire distributed to a random sample of 151 participants from the study population.The main findings of the study revealed that the degree of availability of quality standards in public general education schools in Mukalla, according to the standards of the School Development Program in Yemen from the perspective of the study sample, was high. Eight out of eleven domains received a "high" rating, representing 72.73%, while three domains received a "moderate" rating, representing 27.27%. The results also showed no statistically significant differences in the views of the sample members (school leadership) across the various domains based on the gender variable. However, statistically significant differences were found based on the job title variable (principal/vice-principal), in favor of the principals, and based on years of experience, in favor of those with ten years of experience or more. According to the above findings, the study recommends that the Ministry of Education adopt and implement quality standards and school accreditation in accordance with the reference framework of the School Development Program in the Republic of Yemen. .
