Abstract

The study traced through selected models of a number of contemporary Arab poets the similarity in the sources of the poetic image; and it varied between still life, living nature, and social and political reality. The semiotic analysis of the models showed the effectiveness of the similarity between them; because their drawing from those sources was influenced by what the contemporary poet finds in himself, and what his vision of the world imposes; where he employed what is in nature of components, and what is in reality of contradictions in his poetic texts, according to his vision that differs from the vision of the ordinary person; seeking to make similarity a means for the harmony and coherence of his text, while demonstrating his skill in forming his poetic images, and his expressive energies.
