English Language Department was established in 2003/2004, with a number of (64) male and female students, from Al-Mahra Governorate and other governorates as well as from Sultanate of Oman.

Vision

Excellence in implementing a distinguished program that contributes to overcoming the problems of teaching Arabic language in light of the presence of another language as a second language.

Mission

Preparing scientifically and skillfully qualified cadres with values that make them able to perform their scientific and educational mission, contribute to community development, raise awareness, and build an educational program that matches the requirements of teaching Arabic to remain as a second language.

Objectives

  1. Preparing and qualifying teachers who are scientifically, skillfully and mentally qualified in their field of specialization.
  2. Preparing and qualifying educational teachers with the necessary manners in their field of work.
  3. Preparing teachers who speak fluently, able to deal with the problems of teaching language as a second language.
  4. Preparing a researcher specialized in linguistics, literature and researching the impact of the local language on teaching the Arabic language as well as contributing to enriching the contrastive linguistic side between Arabic and Mahari.
