Overview<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>_<\/span><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text el_id=”about-univ”]Mahrah University is an authorized university established by a presidential decision No. (23) for the year 2022 from the president of the Yemeni Presidential Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, , and Dr. Anwer Mohammed Ali Kalshat has been appointed as its president in a decision No. (24) for the year 2022 AD.
\nTwo colleges and a branch of the Faculty of Open Education joined from Hadramout University to Mahrah University.
\nOne of these colleges is the College of Education in Al-Mahra that started in 1998 AD, the other one is the College of Applied & Human Sciences that was established in 2018 AD, and the Faculty of Open Education branch which was established in 2017 AD.
\nIn the year 2023 AD, Mahrah University added 3 new colleges, which are:
\nCollege of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences
\nFaculty of Administrative Sciences
\nCollege of Applied and Health Sciences
\nThe branch of the College of Open Education has been transformed into the College of Open Education.
\nMahrah University awards a bachelor’s degree in the following majors:
\nCollege of Administrative Sciences: It has the following majors:
\nBusiness Management

\n College of Applied and Health Sciences: It has the following majors:
\nComputer Science
\ninformation technology
\nPhysics
\nmathematics
\nDental and Oral Surgery.
\nCollege of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences: It has the following majors:

\nGeography
\nArabic language
\nEnglish language
\n Islamic studies
\nCollege of Education: It has the following majors:
\nTeacher of Social Studies
\nClass Teacher
\nQuran Sciences
\nKindergarten
\nPhysical Education and sports

\nEnglish language
\nIslamic studies
\nCollege of Open Education: It has the following majors:
\n Business Management
\nAccounting
\nSharia and law
\nIslamic studies
\nArabic language
\nEnglish language
\nGeography
\nThe College of Education has master’s programs that opened in the academic year 2018\/2019 and grants master’s degrees in the following departments and majors:
\n1- Department of Islamic Studies: Master\u2019s degree in jurisprudence and its origins, interpretation and Qur\u2019anic sciences
\n2- Department of Arabic Language: MA in Literature and Criticism, Language and Grammar.
\n3- Department of Education and Psychology: Master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching Methods.
\n4- Department of English: MA in Linguistics.
\nNew master’s and PhD. programs will be opened at the College of Education in the next academic year 2023\/2024, as follows:
\nNew master’s programmes:
\nMaster’s degree in Educational Administration, Department of Education and Psychology.
\nMA in Translation, Department of English Language.
\nMaster of Mathematics, Department of Mathematics.
\n The new doctoral programs are:
\nPhD in Jurisprudence and its origins, Department of Islamic Studies.
\nPhD in Literature and Criticism, Department of Arabic Language
\nPhD in Curriculum and Teaching Methods, Department of Education and Psychology

Objectives<\/h3>

  • To prepare qualified teachers educationally, scientifically, psychologically, behaviorally and administratively.<\/li>\n
  • To prepare qualified graduates who have the ability to deal with scientific developments and cultural changes.<\/li>\n
  • To prepare scientifically and skillfully qualified cadres who possess the values \u200b\u200band behaviors that make them able to perform their scientific and educational mission and contribute to the development of society.<\/li>\n
  • To link the Faculty \u00a0to the community through continuous communication with the community categories through the provision of various rehabilitation and training services such as: distance learning, continuing education, courses, etc.<\/li>\n
  • To provide scientific consultation to governmental and private facilities and departments in order to raise their professional level to achieve the interests of society.<\/li>\n
  • Activating direct scientific research towards educational problems in the local and regional community.<\/li>\n
  • To prepare \u00a0special programs to qualify teachers and train them to raise the efficiency of unqualified teachers during service through distinguished programs.<\/li>\n
