His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Ali Yasser, Governor of Al-Mahrah Governorate, Head of the Local Council, and the President of Al-Mahrah University, His Excellency Dr. Anwar Muhammad Kalshat, today, Thursday, inaugurated the temporary headquarters of the Presidency of Al-Mahrah University and introduced the facilities of the University’s Presidency. In the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council, Mr. Salem Abdullah Nimer, His Excellency Major General Muhammad Abdullah Kadda, former Minister of State, Major General Mohsen Marsa’, Commander of the Axis, and the Undersecretary of the Governorate for Youth Affairs, Mr. Badr Salem Kalshat. After cutting the ribbon, the governor and the university president toured the offices of the university’s presidency, the first of which is the office of the university president and his office director, and the offices of the secretary-general and vice-presidents for academic affairs and postgraduate studies, looking at the technical and administrative equipment. Governor Bin Yasser praised the great efforts made by the presidency of the university in following up the concerned authorities to lay the first building blocks for the establishment of the university, and what has been achieved, stressing the support of the local authority and overcoming all the difficulties facing the establishment process according to the available capabilities. He expressed his satisfaction and high appreciation for all the efforts that were made during For his part, the President of Al-Mahra University, Dr. Anwar Kalshat, welcomed the visit of the governor, the leadership of the local authority, and the attendees, and honored them with the inauguration of the University Presidency, appreciating the support provided by the local authority, calling on the government to support the university and appropriating a budget for it through which it can move, as well as approving infrastructure projects for the university. The inauguration was attended by the Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Adel Karama Maeili, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fayez Jamaan bin Merkab, the Vice President for Graduate Studies Dr. Suhail Jamaan Musada, the Secretary-General of the University, Mr. Muhammad Saeed Bayaqoub, and the Assistant Secretary-General, Mr. Abdullah Swelim Salem, Director General of the Office of the President of the University, Mr. Salem Saeed Kalshat, Dr. Muhammad Ali Shalian, Director General of the Office of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training in the governorate, deans of faculties and their deputies, and a number of faculty members and their assistants at the university.
